| Summary, Etc. |
- Summary, etc. - This book is a compilation of reminiscences, personal accounts and character sketches of seven former students of the Central-Bordner School in Manila.
The author provides a historical background of the school, where some of the first Thomasites taught. The school was an exclusive school for the children of American and European expats, who formed close bonds with each other.
Armstrong gathers stories and memories of pre-war Manila, and especially of experiences during the war. Some of these experiences deal with internment in Santo Tomas; on the Bataan Death March; others with service with guerrillas, while still others of those alumni who joined the US Army and fought in the liberation of the Philippines or in other theaters. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
