| Summary, Etc. |
- Summary, etc. - Personal account of an American woman who was living in Masbate Island with her engineer husband. Instead of surrendering to the Japanese, she and her husband, together with other refugees, evacuated to the mountains where they assisted the guerrillas.
Ms. Spencer describes conditions in the mountains, evacuating Masbate for Panay by boat, giving birth in the mountains, and finally escape by submarine to Australia. She narrowly missed being caught and killed by the Japanese in Camp Hopevale. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
