| Summary, Etc. |
- Summary, etc. - Action-packed pocketbook on the Battle of Manila in February 1945. Although based on official reports and histories, the author has taken great liberties with telling the story, inventing conversations and including many other events, some not directly related to the battle (such as the liberation of Los BaƱos Internment Camp and combat on the way to Manila). Numerous typographical errors of place names and factual errors. He insists on shoot-it-out combat where in some cases, such as the liberation of Bilibid, it did not take place. Cortesi has written several books on different battles of the Pacific in the same genre; this should not be taken seriously. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
