| Summary, Etc. |
- Summary, etc. - Personal account of an American twelve-year-old girl, daughter of a mining engineer working close to Manila. She recounts her experiences from the start of the war, when she was in school; attempted evacuation to safer grounds in Laguna, only to return to Manila. The author and her family were interned in Santo Tomas for three years; she writes about her experiences in the camp, facing hardship, shortages and separation from her father, who was housed with the men in a separate building. The memoir covers the whole war, through liberation, reunification with her father, and repatriation to the US. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
