| Summary, Etc. |
- Summary, etc. - A personal account of a young American who joined the US Army Air Corps to escape the Depression in the US. Assigned to the 2nd Observation Squadron in Clark Field, he describes pre-war life on and off the base; the move to Nichols Field, the coming of the war, a brief stint in Corregidor, fighting as infantry on Bataan, back to Corregidor in time to surrender.
He recounts his experiences as a prisoner of war in Corregidor, Bilibid, Cabanatuan, prison ship to Japan, liberation and adjusting to the post-war US. Sabotta decries the wartime promises of President Roosevelt that help was on the way to the Philippines because it never came. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
