Summary, Etc.
  • Summary, etc. - Philip Brain, Jr. was called to active service in 1941 and dispatched to the Philippines with the 194th Tank Battalion. He was also an active Rotarian. This book compiles three talks he gave during Rotary Club meetings in 1965, 1983 and 1986, where he recalls his ordeals in the Death March and in prison camp. He also tells of his reflections on life and death, particularly given the severity of the prison camp experiences where he suffered from lack of food and medicine, disease and Japanese brutality. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
