| General Note |
- General note - "Postmarked Manila by Rose Lamb Sobrepena is a tribute to Zamboanga's signature song, No Te Vayas de Zamboanga. The song is about a girl who is asking her beau not to leave Zamboanga as he may forget her through his pluma de ave. Rose Sobrepena's Postmarked Manila was the pluma de ave that kept the present in collective touch with those who were absent from Zamboanga from February 21, 1961 to January 16, 1996. The constant message is eternal love. Absence is like wind and fire. The wind extinguishes small fires, but heightens the conflagration of great fires. Postmarked Manila was No Te Vayas de Zamboanga in action. Another fitting title for it could have been From Manila With Love." -- From the Foreword
