Summary, Etc.
  • Summary, etc. - Personal account of a "China Marine" - a marine with the 4th Marine Regiment, which was transferred from China to Subic just before the war started. During the Japanese onslaught, the regiment - and Sheya - were placed on beach defense in Corregidor and tried to stop the Japanese landing forces in May 1942. Sheya describes the action on Corregidor, as well as prison camp life in Corregidor, Cabanatuan, Bilibid, prison ship to Korea, then on to forced labor in Mukden, and later to Japan. - Prof. Ricardo T.
