| Summary, Etc. |
- Summary, etc. - Researched account, based specially on interviews with survivors, not only on Corregidor but also Bataan and the Philippine defense campaign, as well as the Death March. An epilogue describes the horrors faced by the defenders after the surrender. The author was a professor at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, and has written other books on military history. Not very much from the Filipino perspective, and in some instances Morris takes his interviews' stories at face value without double-checking them, resulting in a number of errors of fact. Very readable (The book was published in the US at the same time, under the title "Corregidor: The End of the Line." It has recently been reprinted). - Prof. RIcardo T. Jose
