Summary, Etc.
  • Summary, etc. - This history of the Filipino guerrilla movement in Panay Island is divided into two parts: a concise narrative focusing on organization, contact with Australia (a dramatic story), intelligence and politico-military operations, it has a chapter devoted to the Peralta-Confesor conflict); and a compilation of important documents covering both the 6th Military District (Peralta) and the Free Panay Civil Government (Confesor). The history includes accounts of the non-fighting units, including the signal corps, the chaplain service and other units, providing a comprehensive and readable history of the resistance movement in the Western Visayas. Among the documents are important letters and radiograms, a roster of officers of the 6th Military District and list of casualties. The author was an assistant personnel adjutant member of the 6th Military District. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
