  • Summary, etc. - Compilation of mostly eyewitness accounts on the Fall of Bataan, the Death March, POW life, Japanese atrocities. Harrowing experiences on the Hell ships, the Palawan Massacre, and on Ft Frank are also included. The compiler was from the American Ex-Prisoners of War, Inc., National Medical Research Committee. He was a crewmember of the minesweeper USS Finch which was sunk off Corregidor, and fought as infantry on Bataan and Corregidor. The compilation covers POW camps in Asia, not only in the Philippines, but majority of the material relates to the Philippines. Includes articles, affidavits, various documents of those who survived, post-war investigations, medical effects of imprisonment and US POW legislation. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
