Summary, Etc.
  • Summary, etc. - A compilation of articles, photographs, personal accounts and reports concerning the Philippine Scouts (US Army) from inception in 1901 to final dissolution in the late 1940s. Brief histories and data of the various scout units are given, followed by accounts and reports, maps and illustrations on the Scouts' operations and activities during World War II. This book makes available several rare manuscripts and articles. Among these are accounts of the 26th Cavalry Regiment; 45th and 57th Infantry Regiments; field and coast artillery regiments. The last sections of the book are on the post-war Philippine Scouts, the Philippine Scout exhibition in the Fort Sam Houston Museum in Texas, and a bibliography. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
