Documents and supplementary information compiled by ex-Col Ryoichiro Aoshima who obtained information from the operational record of the Southern Army, 4th Air Army and recollections of staff officers concerned. Maps, sketches, charts. Covers preparations for the defense of the Philippines after the fall of Saipan to the Americans. Includes details on reinforcements received, defense dispositions, overall plans. Handwritten annotations/corrections.
