  • Summary, etc. - Personal account of an American serviceman sent out to the Philippines on the eve of war. Initially with the 200th Coast Artillery Regiment (Anti Aircraft), he was transferred to the newly formed 515th Coast Artillery regiment (Anti Aircraft). He served in Bataan. His story was recorded by his daughter, Penny Silva Cannon. Silva tells of his ordeals in the Death March, Camp O'Donnell, Cabanatuan, hell ship Noto Maru and POW camp and forced labor in Japan.
