| Summary, Etc. |
- Summary, etc. - "30 years in the lives of Filipino Canadians in Ontario... It was no easy task going back in time more than 30 years ago. But author Ruben J. Cusipag, a Filipino Canadian community journalist with a vast experience behind him, located some of the pioneer Filipino immigrants in the province to gain an insight into those early years of community-building in the 1960s. He painstakingly dug up recorded materials of the 1970s and the 1980s. However, he was not a mere chronicler. A resident of Toronto since late 1974, he has been an eyewitness to many Filipino Canadian events. And he was also a prime mover who helped enrich the life of his community... Co-author Maria Corazon Buenafe assisted in researching and writing this book as a tribute to her late father, Manuel Buenafe, who was one of the pre-war writers in the Philippines."
