| General Note |
- General note - The town of Cuenca was founded in 1876, in accordance to a decree issued by the Governor General. It was declared as an independent parish in 1879 and the church, dedicated to the town''s patron saint, San Isidro de Labrador, was built. The pit marks on the church''s facade were caused by bullets during the Japanese occupation. (Source: Angels in Stone: Augustinian Churches in the Philippines, Fr. Pedro Galende, O.S.A., 1996) YYY
