| General Note |
- General note - Another photo of the church showing the facade reconstructed by Fr. Florencio Gonzales in the latter half of the 19th century. Baao''s original town site was situated near the river bank called Layuan. Frequent floods prompted the Franciscans to transfer it to a place where the Lang-day and Bahay rivers meet. Again found unsuitable, the site was transferred to its present location in 1731. (See CH00313)
