| General Note |
- General note - The church''s main altar after the typhoon of 1972. The altar reredos dates back to ca. late 19th century. The word "bombon" means "to scatter feeds for animals and fishes". During the early days, the town was said to abound with mudfish along the streams, brooks and ricefields that merely by scattering feeds, a bountiful catch was assured. Hence, the town took after that word "bombon." (also see CH00316) YYY
