| General Note |
- General note - Plaster-coated reconstruction of the church built originally of bricks and adobe stones. The town and parish of Milaor were established in 1585 although missionary work had started some six years earlier in 1579. At that time, the town site was situated at sitio "Mayaopayauan," better known as "sinimbahanan." This site was frequently flooded, prompting the Franciscans to transfer to the present site, the highest place in the vicinity. (See CH00346)
