- General note - Pilasters, fluted in some parts, seem to divide the church facade into three vertical sections, the center part of which is set a bit forward, while the lateral sections curve slightly inward (concave-like). Like most churches in the country, this one of Sagñay is an accretion of constructed and/or reconstructed parts superimposed upon existing foundations, usually done after destructive typhoons and earthquakes. Present facade of the church shown in the photo is a restoration job done in 1953. (also see CH00374) YYY
