General Note
  • General note - Church on top of a hill was built in 1832. Has solitary bell tower and portico. "Sogod" is a Visayan word which means beginning. It is from this spot that the sand on the beach is white to the north for miles and brown to the south. The municipality of Sogod was created on January 1, 1921, when it was separated from Catmon. The first municipal president was Gervasio Monsanto. YYY
