| General Note |
- General note - Another photo of the church, simple in design and construction. Arevalo, as evident in photo, is the flower capital of the Iloilo where the city''s supply of leis, corsages, wreaths and bouquets come from. Almost every house of the town has a garden of potted blooms. The town, which was once the capital of the province, was made a district of Iloilo city on July 16, 1937. It is the hometown of several prominent Ilonggos like Melecio Figueroa, the sculptor, Assemblyman Francisco Varona and feminist Sofia Reyes de Veyra. (See CH00559)
