| General Note |
- General note - Iloilo's most magnificent graveyard, both in size and appearance was built during the Spanish regime; it is situated on an elevated ground some 2 kilometers east of Janiuay town plaza. Stretching nearly 100 meters along the road, it had three round-arched doorways, each of which is reached by a flight of half-elliptic stairs. Both gates and stairs are made of limestone. Images of various saints in niches decorate the massive walls which flank the stairs below the arched gateways. (also see CH00583) YYY
