| General Note |
- General note - Plaster-coated restoration of the church in Lambunao. The cruciform church is flanked by double-deck bell towers, each measuring in width nearly 3/4 of the church nave. In a niche set against the curvilinear pediment is the image of the patron saint, Nicolas de Tolentino. The original church was built by Father Jose Lobo in 1879. Lambunao was an annex of Passi until 1742, when, together with Calinog, it was established to form a single parish. Three years later, Lambunao was joined to Laglag (DueƱas) while Calinog reverted to Passi. Rejoined with Calinog in 1747, it finally became independent in 1756. The parish was transferred to its present location (formerly it occupied a marshland) in 1879 by Fr. Lobo who constructed, aside from the church and convent, other public buildings and the plaza. The Augustinian friar arrived in Lambunao in 1875. YYY
