| General Note |
- General note - The Gothic-inspired church of Oton, built by Fr. Joaquin Fernandez in 1882. Formerly named Ogtong, Oton is the one of the older towns in the province of Iloilo. It used to be an encomienda owned by a local elite named Don Miguel de Loarca. In 1572, the Augustinians took Oton as a house of the Order and placed it under the patronage of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. (Source: Angels in Stone, Fr.
