| General Note |
- General note - Red brick church of Pavia, built by the Augustinian friar, Antonio Fermentino, who served twice as parish priest in 1884 and 1887. The Renaissance structure was used as a garrison by the Japanese, and during the battle of liberation in March 1945. American tanks punched a hole through the edifice. Two Greek crosses decorate the facade above the triple-arched main doorway. The parish of Pavia was established in 1862 with Santa Monica as its patroness. The town is some 14 kilometers from Iloilo city. YYY
