- General note - The church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus in San Joaquin, Iloilo, one of 26 colonial churches all over the Philippines declared as National Cultural Treasures by the National Museum. The pediment features a bas-relief of small coral blocks entitled "Rendicion de Tetuan" depicting the victory of the Spanish soldiers under General Leopoldo O'' Donnel over the troops of Moroccan Crown Prince Muley Abbas. (Source: Angels in Stone, Fr. Pedro Galende, O.S.A., 1996) A "mosaic" of small coral blocks spread over the church gable depicts the battle of Tetua, executed in bas-relief by an unknown sculptor.
