| General Note |
- General note - A section of the octagonal drum on which the dome rests and the terminal apse. Simple rosette windows pierce through four sides of the drum while paintings of the four Evangelists ornament the pendentives. Like the nave and aisles, the transepts and apse have vaulted ceilings. Note the Gothic reredos behind the main altar. The church survived the war of 1945 and the earthquake of 1948 with only minor damages. (also see CH00622) YYY
