- General note - The church of Santo Tomas de Villanueva in Alimodian, Iloilo. Alimodian was formerly a visita of Oton until it became an independent parish in 1757. (Source: Angels in Stone, Fr. Pedro Galende, O.S.A., 1996) The church of Alimodian showing the reconstructed façade and the ruins of its bell tower and convent walls. Alimodian existed in 1720 but only in 1756 did it become an independent parish. Its church and convent were erected by Fr. Florencio Martin who was the parish priest from 1855 to 1865.YYY
