General Note
  • General note - The town of Luna, formerly called Namacpacan, was founded in 1690. The church was built by an Augustinian friar, Fr. Mateo Bustillos, who was parish priest from 1695 to 1697. Enshrined in the church is the miraculous image of Our Lady of Namacpacan, honored by devotees from La Union and Ilocos every year. (Source: Angels in Stone, Fr. Pedro Galende, O.S.A., 1996) YYY
