| General Note |
- General note - March, 1834 saw the formal inauguration of the parish of Ormoc, with Fr. Bibiano Luciano as first parish priest. Seen on photo is the modern town church, with a five-storey bell tower. (Source: Leyte Towns: Histories and Legends, Francisco S. Tantuico, Jr., 1980) Façade projects an angular atmosphere. Bell tower is a five-storey affair. Edifice is new and modernistic; Jesuits founded this old town by the bay. YYY
