- General note - This edifice has been given a modernistic face-lifting out of a modest old church built by the missionaries in the late 1800's. Sporting a melodious Castilian name, Tolosa was founded by a Spanish friar from the place of the same moniker in Spain. Patterned after a Spanish pueblo, it is one of the oldest towns in this old province. Big names like Justice Norberto Romualdez, Sr., Speaker Daniel Romualdez, and the incumbent First Lady, Imelda Romualdez-Marcos, come from this town. YYY
