General Note
  • General note - Entrance to the cemetery on Nozaleda (now Gen. Luna) street, in 1905. The graveyard was enclosed by a circular wall in 1859 after Governor General Fernando de Norzagaray (1857-1860) proposed the enlargement of the cemetery to 4,540 "varas cuadradas" or approximately 4,500 sq. yards. A Chinese builder won the contract to build the outer portion of this cemetery for P19,700. (also see CH00770) YYY
