General Note
  • General note - Erected on September 11, 1890, the Gothic San Sebastian Church resting on a raised platform in Quiapo district, Manila, was completed on August 16, 1891. Made of steel manufactured by the Societe'' Anonyme D'Entreprises des Travaux Publics, the materials were brought from Belgium piecemeal and assembled in Manila. Fray Gregorio Serma supervised the construction of the steel edifice dedicated to the Nuestra Señora del Carmen. (also see CH00793) YYY
