- General note - Ruins of the convent adjoining the church, a few paces to its left and facing the sea. The parish of Catarman was the second established in Camiguin. That of Guinsiliban, a nearby town, is said to be the first, having been founded in 1599 by the Jesuits. The Augustinian Recollects continued the missionary work of the Jesuits in Camiguin and founded the parish of Old Catarman in 1622. (also see CH00835) YYY
