| General Note |
- General note - A photoengraving of the church and convent of Dumaguete, built under the supervision of Fr. Fernandez de Setein, parish priest from 1754 to 1776. The tower had served the double-purpose of watchtower and belfry during the colonial period, a precaution against the attacks of Moro pirates. (Source: History of Dumaguete City, Caridad Aldecoa-Rodriguez, 2001) Photoengraving of the Catholic church and convent in Negros Oriental, c. 1895. At left is a substantial structure which had, in the past, served the double purpose of watchtower and belfry. Today, in its restored state, it serves as a bell tower. YYY
