| General Note |
- General note - Photo shows the sandstone facade of the church of Saint Ramond of Peñafort. Mangatarem was initially established as a visita of San Carlos in 1827. It became a separate town in 1835, and two years later, the Dominicans accepted Mangatarem as a house of the Order. The original church was built by Fr. Joaquin Perez, the town''s first vicar.
