| General Note |
- General note - Photo shows the facade of the church of Pitogo, built on top of Maaliw hill in the late 1770s. Local legend has it that a gigantic pitogo (cycas) tree once grew on this hill. After the Muslim raid of the Cawayanin settlement, the image of the town''s patron, Saint Paul, was found beneath the tree, thus prompting the villagers to settle there and name the place Pitogo. YYY
