| General Note |
- General note - Up to 1845, Santa Ignacia, then known as Binaca, was a barrio of Camiling, Tarlac. From 1845 to 1874, the barrio was plundered by robbers, forcing the people to write a petition for Binaca to become a town that could have its own police force. A royal decree dated August 13, 1880 created the new town, which adopted the new name, Santa Ignacia. (Source: Tarlac: Prehistory to World War II, Margarita Cojuanco, 1997) YYY
