| General Note |
- General note - Also known as the ostensorium, the monstrance is one of the chief liturgical vessels used in Roman Catholic rites. It is a receptacle in which the sacred host, is exposed for public adoration. This monstrance formerly belonged to the parish of Mahinog, Camiguin. It stands about 45 centimeters high. The body, which consists of the circular frame around the glass "window", the rays and the cross, is gold-plated; while the handle and base are made of silver. Etched figures of six angels adorn the rim of the center piece, with small ruby stones in between them. The scrolls-and-vines design is a stylized representation of grapes and wheat.YYY
