- General note - Photo of Catholic church of town in the north-western coast of Leyte province. Albuera, composed of 16 barrios including the poblacion, has an annual income of Pl69,433,36, basing on the collection as of June 30, 1971. Classified as a 4th class municipality, it has an area of 18,121 hectares and a population of 23,701, as of March, 1973. Agricultural products are rice, coconut (copra), sugar, fish and hemp. Cottage industries are rope-making and figurine making. Fishing ground is the Ormoc Bay, a length of 14 kilometers from Panilahan to Maibog. Albuera has untapped natural resources of manganese, copper, gold and iron. Water resources available are two barrio (PACD) waterworks and one municipal waterworks. Rivers are Nalitawan, Lotao, Seguinon, Nalitawan, Lotao, Seguinon, Cambalading, Manhunob, Talisayan, Malitbog, Gungag, Kangkarihan, Sebugay, Cagbulo, Kabalilin-an, Kalingatan, Langgam, Tabgas, Balugo, Palanas, Wanggag, Bacan, Benolho-ay, Kampoc-poc, Tinag-an. Albuera belongs to the fourth congressional district.
