| General Note |
- General note - The San Jose Church of the Recoletos was built in 1780. Actually the second structure (the first, built in 1608) constructed on the same location, it was of the Spanish Romanesque. Doric pillars and images set in niches decorated the facade. The one-nave interior had no aisles. Above it was a slightly curving roof that rested on arches. Three altars dedicated to San Ramon Nonato, La Virgen de la Salud and Santa Monica occupied prominent positions in the interior. Left of the high altar was a chapel instead of a transept. A low copula with a gallery hovered above the altar which the administrators dedicated to the Savior from Nazareth.YYY
