| General Note |
- General note - Interior of St. Ignatius Church. Photo-engraving. The Manila Times. Second Annual Edition. 1911. There were two side aisles that balanced the very lofty nave. Over them, a heavily sculptured gallery rested on pillars distributed at rare intervals. On the side pilasters of the aisles were rare carvings of the "Way of the Cross". These sculptured pieces, the groups of reliefs mounted on every door and the traceries were all done by Sr. Isabelo Tampinco. The high altar towered over the two side altars. All these were fenced by an altar rail of wood festooned with flowers and artistically rendered by Don Agustin Saez. Molave, of a tone as dark as English black oak, was freely used in the church interior.YYY
