| General Note |
- General note - Venerated in the church is a statue of the Santo NiƱo, the town''s patron saint. Legend says that the image was found in a pandan clump by a well beside the church (around 1710). Pandacan was at the time under the ecclesiastical charge of Sampaloc. It is said that two attempts were made to move the image to Sampaloc church. At both instances, the statue vanished and mysteriously reappeared by the well. This prompted the people of Pandacan to build a shrine to house the Holy Child.
