| General Note |
- General note - Fray Jose Martin, parish priest from 1872 to 1881, supervised the construction of the convento based on the plans drawn by Don Antonio Lopez Martin, maestro de obras of the Corps of Engineers. In 1900, American troops occupied the structure. Both the convento and the church were heavily damaged during World War II. (Source: Batangas Forged in Fire, Ayala Foundation, Inc., 2002) YYY
