| General Note |
- General note - Reported to be made of cut stone, the original structure of the convento was remodelled by Fray Hipolito Huerta, parish priest from 1857 to 1861, after the earthquake of 1852. Its succeeding pastor, Fray Felipe Bravo, continued the renovations and filled the convent with rare manusripts and books, specimens, and various instruments. In 1900, the convento was occupied by American troops. (Source: Batangas Forged in Fire, Ayala Foundation, Inc., 2002) YYY
