General Note
  • General note - The town of San Juan, originally named San Juan de Bocboc, was established as a parish in 1846. The administration of the parish was transferred from the secular clergy to the Augustinian Recollects in 1881. Fray Celestino Yoldi took over in 1892, and initiated the construction of the present church, convento and school. He also helped prepare the town''s street plan.
