- Notes - Embroideries made by hand are done in the provinces near Manila, where thousands of women receive the marked cloth from a score of contractors who journey back and forth from the city twice weekly and farm out to individuals the various types of embroidery to be done. Consuelo Estacio, the PAE contractor, herself sews on a bastidor or round wooden frames, together with Felicidad Noche, her daughter Editha,Sofia Martinez and younger daughter Cherrie.
