- General note - A product of three years of research and production, this series of digital documentaries transports its viewers to five ecological sites in Asia, namely Batanes (Philippines), Biwako (Japan), Kali Code (Indonesia), Khiriwong (Thailang) and Tasiki Chini (Malaysia). Central to the study of the region's environments is the discovery of how local communities develop indiginous ways to respond to environmental challenges. Two stand out as notable responses: Spirituality adn Community Action. Studying the community initiatives made by five characters facing the brunt of nature's calamities, lessons are drawn from their local wisdom, initiatives and experiences--both successes and failures--which can be shared with the wider public towards developing better responses in the future. The documentary series includes one full-length documentary embodying all the sites titled, Cross Currents: Journey too Asian Environments, as well as five country documentaries that are hour-long each in length.
