| General Note |
- General note - Oliver is a female impersonator who supports his family by performing in Manila's gay bars. He is Liza Minneli, Grace Jones, and Spiderman all rolled into one. He lives in Tondo and raises his child together with his grandmother and two siblings. On the side, he also makes himself available to customers. All to make ends meet for his impoverished family. Around him are the poor slim dwellers of Tondo whose lives are no better than Oliver's. As they scavenge food in the infamous mountain of garbage during daytime, Oliver works in Manila's red light district as nighttime. In one final act, he performs the "Spiderman show" where he rolls a hundred yards of thread, which he inserts inside his ass and spins it on the dance floor to create one giant web. This audacious act is made more meaningful because the film was shot at the height of the military dictatorship under Ferdinand Marcos.
